Friends of Old Annville/Quittie Creek Nature Park

 The Quittie Creek Park Committee of Friends of Old Annville has worked to bring Annville’s Quittie Creek Nature Park into existence, to maintain park trails, to raise the funds necessary to construct the Raymond J. Swingholm Footbridge, and recently to expand the park through the purchase of 11 additional acres of creek-side land.

We support maintenance and restoration through our annual Façade Grant Program for local homeowners and businesses. Our group also restored the Historic Annville Train Station which now serves as headquarters for Friends of Old Annville. We publish for our membership our Landmark Newsletter six times a year. We have also helped to publish several books on Annville History: Annville Township, A Pictorial History of Annville, and Old West Annville, as well as numerous booklets and monographs. Friends of Old Annville has recently initiated a large ongoing archival project: the construction of the Electronic Archive of Annville History. This on-line archive currently contains over 30,000 images, documents, and notes related to Annville history, and is available for use by donation for members of our organization. For over 25 years, our organization has sponsored Historic Old Annville Day, a day long celebration of historic Annville that is held in the town center on the second Saturday in June. The event draws thousands of people into town to enjoy a street fair in our historic town center.
