United Way of Lebanon County

United Way of Lebanon County's mission is to serve as thought leaders, convene community, promote collaboration, and develop resources and solutions to strengthen the Lebanon County community.

Our community’s challenges are complex. Many local families are forced to make impossible choices, such as deciding whether to buy food, pay for health care or make rent. We know that these types of economic barriers families face can affect a child’s ability to succeed in school - and ultimately their success in life. 

United Way of Lebanon County's long-term goal is to permanently reduce the number of families and individuals below an affordable living standard in our communities. We will achieve this by providing and investing in critical programs that help stabilize our most vulnerable friends and neighbors and solve the root causes to our complex challenges, not just address the symptoms. Our three focus areas include:

• Connecting families to community resources and programs to help them improve their economic self-dependence.
• Removing barriers to learning for our most vulnerable children because education is the path to self-dependence.
• Giving all of Lebanon County children a strong start in life.

Through this approach, United Way of Lebanon County provides pathways to education and financial stability that create better opportunities for everyone in our community.

United Way funds agencies that, working together, can address the nuances of complex problems like homelessness or the academic achievement gap. 

We create programs and initiatives to fill unmet needs.

We deploy volunteers and socially responsible companies as the engines of change and the feet on the street, delivering hope to people in need.

We raise funds through generous donors who understand that social change can't happen without it.
