Volunteer: Student Workshop Facilitator

Chalkboard Financial is looking for energetic individuals who want to make a difference!

Become a Course Facilitator with Chalkboard Financial. Do you enjoy talking and inspiring high

school students? Teach teens basic personal finance! Use your experiences and background to

help guide our younger generation. Since programs are held year round and at various times and

locations, volunteering is flexible enough for even the busiest professional or retiree.

Qualifications: Are you a retiree or a professional with a heart to serve the younger generation?

Maybe you’ve dug your way out of debt and want to impact the youth on the road NOT to take.

Use your story and experiences to powerfully impact our students.

• Must be able to conduct a workshop in a classroom like setting with teens and young

adults ( Ages 16-22)

• finger printing and background check prior to volunteering

Responsibilities and Duties: Using our curricula and materials, connect and educate students,

talking and walking through how finances work in the real world. Bringing to life how budgets

and credit work to our benefit or adversely hinder next steps in life.

• Take role of students attending workshops

• Length of service: Conduct a once a week class for 8 ( 45 minute class session

+ light set up and tear down)

• Hours per week with prep: 2 hours in mid to late afternoon. 

Training: Chalkboard Financial will offer training. Each facilitator will complete 1 training

session and receive the necessary workshop tools to conduct the onsite workshops with students.
