Who We Are
The mission of the Lebanon County Historical Society, organized in 1898, is to collect, preserve, publish and share the rich history of the Lebanon Valley. We operate only with a staff of 2 and volunteers.
What We Do
We are a non-profit organization. We house a museum and archives/library with a vast collection of items and documents from Lebanon County. We preserve donations of local historical significance. We conduct genealogical and historical research and guide researchers. We offer guided tours to the public and school groups. We provide free Sunday Programs on historical and local cultural topics. We publish a quarterly newsletter and books by local authors and historians. We are in the process of reconstructing the Krall Barn at Union Canal Tunnel Park to preserve this historical structure and offer educational programs.
